Trait Pur is a basenji kennel established in Outremont, Quebec, operated by Odile Marchand. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this site, why I collect it, and what rights you may exercise, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

I do not collect any sensitive information and never ask for banking information through this site.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
No analytics cookie is set before your explicit consent. The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline, and declining is just as easy as accepting. You can revisit your choice at any time using the "🍪 Cookies" button at the bottom of every page.
Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function — remembering your consent choice, for instance — are set without consent, as the law allows.
5. Disclosure to third parties
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. It is only shared with providers necessary to operate the site (hosting, analytics), and only to the extent required. No information is shared with other breeders.
6. Hosting and place of processing
This site is hosted on a server located in Canada. Should a provider ever process your information outside Quebec, I would first carry out the privacy impact assessment required by Law 25.
7. Your rights
- Access — obtain a copy of the information I hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting a request already underway.
- Deletion — request deletion of information whose purpose has been fulfilled.
- Portability — receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- Complaint — file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information if my response does not satisfy you.
I respond to every request within a maximum of 30 days.
8. Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Access to received requests is reserved to me personally. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm, I would notify the affected individuals as well as the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.

Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with a revised update date.
